Celebrating Children's Day 2025: Empowering Young Minds at PM SHRI KV Leh

Celebrating Children's Day 2025: Empowering Young Minds at PM SHRI KV Leh

"The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country." – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru
Dear Readers,
Greetings from the Library Media Centre! Today, we celebrate the vibrant energy, boundless curiosity, and pure joy that our students bring to the hallways and classrooms of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Leh. Children's Day, observed on 14th November, is not just a tribute to India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, but also a reminder of our collective responsibility to nurture every child's potential.
As a proud PM SHRI school, our focus is on fostering holistic development, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning. The library stands at the heart of this mission. It is a space where young minds from the cold desert of Ladakh can travel the world, explore universes, and meet historical heroes through the pages of books.
Special Children's Day Library Highlights:
  • Book Exhibition: A curated collection of inspiring biographies, adventurous fiction, and science marvels is on display all week.
  • Storytelling Sessions: Seniors sharing local folklore and traditional Ladakhi tales with our primary budget students.
  • Young Authors Corner: Spotlighting creative poems, book reviews, and sketches made by our talented KVIans.
Books are quiet and faithful friends. They give wings to your imagination and strength to your dreams. On this special day, we encourage every student to pick up a book, explore a new world, and keep asking questions.
Happy Children's Day to all our wonderful students! Keep shining, keep reading, and keep reaching for the stars!
Happy Reading!

The concept of ’Pustakopahar’ (Passing over of the textbooks to juniors students) has been developed with the objective of using  relatively new-used books by the students of all age groups before the beginning of an academic year. The books are especially useful for children from low economic backgrounds, who in spite of being able to afford education, are unable to afford academic session. Beside a step like this brings an opportunity to let the text books have a new life, inculcate a spirit of bonding between students. The students learn and exhibit responsible moral behavior, and contribute a student’s effort towards saving money and environment.
Therefore, students are requested to come forward and give their textbooks and other related study material to the immediate juniors through Library.
ITS A HUMBLE REQUEST TO ALL THE PARENTS AND CHILDREN, IF YOU HAVE YOUR LAST YEARS GENTLY USED TEXTBOOKS WITH YOU, KINDLY DONATE IT TO K.V.LEH LIBRARY. THOSE WHO ARE READY TO GIVE THEIR OLD TEXTBOOKS ARE REQUESTED TO WRAP ALL THE BOOKS TOGETHER IN ONE BAG OR KEEP ALL THE BOOKS IN ONE PACKET AND WRITE YOUR NAME AND CLASS ON IT.

Gift your old text-book to other students and save trees.
