 REPORT: CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL LIBRARIAN'S DAY

Dear Students, Faculty, and Readers,

On 12th August, the School Library Media Centre celebrated National Librarian's Day to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of Padam Shri Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, recognized as the Father of Library Science in India.

Key Highlights of the Event:

  • Special Awareness & Orientation Session:

    • Students were introduced to the life, contributions, and vision of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan.

    • A interactive talk was conducted explaining the Five Laws of Library Science and how libraries play a vital role in self-learning, research, and personal growth.

    • Students were made aware of how to efficiently utilize library resources available in the school library.

  • Tribute & Book Display:

    • A special floral tribute was offered to Dr. S.R. Ranganathan.

    • A curated Book Exhibition featuring reference books, biographies of great scholars, and new library additions was organized for students and staff.

Let us honor the spirit of reading and information sharing by making the library an active hub of learning!
